Any tips or things to watch out for when replacing Mk3 dashboard !!

well I've started .... help - how do you get more play on the speedo cable to get it off ? instrument cluster won't pull out and can't get my hand behind it !

: just unclip it from inside the engine bay simples !! managed to get the dash out today, what a pig sweating buckets :lol:

ps .. i can see my clocks now in the dark nice and bright no blue covers on bulbs !!
