yeah sounds like earth strap didnt put one on mine after restoring the body and nearly set fire to the battery earth cable still has the melted plastic coating

it should connect to the back inlet stud which should be fitted with 2 nuts one to holds the manifold on and the second holds the eath strap on with a star washer
