Up for sale is my 1984 / A reg Ford Capri 2.8 injection.


11 months MOT, 5 months tax, 5 speed manual, 4 brand new tyres, twin Janspeed exhausts (sounds awesome), no history but all the bills from the time I've owned it. The guy I got it from had owned it 10 years but accidentally chucked out all the paperwork including the logbook when he moved. I applied for the V5 from DVLA when I bought it and have that in my name.


The car had been in a barn in storage for around 6 years when I got it. To get her back up and running I've put 4 new tyres on, new waterpump and thermostat, new bumpers, track control arms and new brakes plus lots of service type parts. I've also just got hold of some genuine Ford velour material in the correct colour to repair the inevitable worn seat bolster that all Ford Recaro seats seem to have.


I had intended to keep it as I love Capri's and they seem a good investment now as prices of the more desirable models like the 2.8 injection are rising, but got the chance to buy a really nice VW Camper this week and I can't keep both at the moment.


This isn't a total departure from Capri's for me though as after many years of me pestering him, a mate has finally agreed to sell me his 280 Brooklands - just got to work out how to pay for it
